Men Mode: The Norkis Yamaha SM Shop Launch
March 3, 2006 | 12:00am
Last week at the Norkis Yamaha SM Shop Red Hot launch, I experienced a nostalgia of some sort. You see, in the classic movie, A Roman Holiday, Italian men in their tailored suits rode their Vespas and bipeds around town with style. So watching M.A.C.'s male models traipse down the glass runway of Norkis Yamaha, in their structured suits from Protacio, Edwin Ao, Wendel Quisido and Ray Kuan, one can't help but feel a bit nostalgic.
Now take note that Norkis Yamaha's bikes are as efficient and fashionable as their Italian counterpart. Picture hunky Harold Dee in a four-pocket denim jacket, shorts and sneakers maneuvering Yamaha's Crypton Z. Or how about lean bodied Stephan Urtizberea in a wool bush jacket and red jeans boarding the Yamaha X-1? Cassidy Shun's nice proportions (clad in a checkered jacket and shorts) blended well with Yamaha's Mio, while Marc Arenz was picture perfect in a red hot tailored wool blend jacket and khaki cargos on top of the Yamaha Nouvo.
Not to be outdone was the Group Managing Head of the Norkis Group of Companies, Mr. Adolito Flores, who looked dashing in his gray wool structured jacket and matching trousers. The Norkis Yamaha SM Shop Red Hot launch was his brainchild in sync with the company's operative word - Style and Innovation. Thus, Yamaha's hot selling bikes, Nouvo, Mio, Crypton Z and X-1 shared spotlight with Cebu's top mannequins.
