Former UNIS member returns to Philippines

CEBU, Philippines — After three years of living and pursuing her dreams in South Korea, Filipina singer and former UNIS member Gehlee Dangca is coming home to the Philippines today, September 29, to embark on an exciting new chapter in her career —one that will see her pursuing opportunities both in the Philippines and on the international stage.

Gehlee first captured international attention through Universe Ticket, the global survival program that formed the K-pop girl group UNIS.

Her journey began when SBS approached Universal Records Philippines to scout Filipino talents for the competition. Among those who auditioned, Gehlee secured her place in the program and quickly emerged as a standout contestant, garnering the highest number of votes. She was ultimately called to fill the fourth debut spot among the eight members selected to form UNIS.

In March 2024, Gehlee officially debuted as a member of UNIS and spent the next two and a half years based in Korea, gaining valuable experience as a performer and K-pop artist while reaching audiences around the world.

Now, as she returns to her home country to finish school, fans can look forward to seeing more of Gehlee in Philippine media and entertainment, with upcoming activities and projects that will allow audiences to discover more sides of the young artist.
