New chapter in ‘Roja’

The Freeman

MANILA, Philippines —  Now airing on ALLTV2 alongside A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and online, “Roja” is on a roll as it opens an action-packed new chapter with fresh characters and marks a show milestone for setting a new online viewership record on January 27.

The Kapamilya primetime series set its own all-time high record on that date of 620,186 peak concurrent online viewers on Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube, the most subscribed YouTube media and entertainment channel in Southeast Asia.

ABS-CBN recently released an explosive “bagong yugto” trailer that gives viewers a glimpse of life-threatening challenges that Liam (Donny Pangilinan) and Olsen (Kyle Echarri) will have to overcome, especially since the hostage-takers added reinforcements and are now holding the victims captive at a hospital.

The crisis will also escalate with the addition of new characters played by Christian Vasquez, Iana Bernardez, Jeremiah Lisbo, Joel Molina, Mac Manicad, Miggy Campbell, and Paolo Serrano.

In the current story, “Roja” may have just dropped another bombshell revelation after Greta (Lorna Tolentino), Liam’s mom, put clues together and is convinced that Liam and Olsen are actually brothers. Greta jumped to the conclusion after learning of her husband Magnus’ (Raymond Bagatsing) affair with her best friend Wendy (Janice De Belen).

In the coming episodes, Liam, Olsen, and Luna’s (Maymay Entrata) seemingly peaceful lives will turn chaotic once more as the hostage-takers set up a new game plan and challenge the police force by attacking the hospital where the victims of La Playa Roja are currently staying.

The leader of the hostage-takers, Emil (Joel Torre), along with his allies, are in full force to take their revenge on the Rojas, and they will do everything in their power to bring back the lost ransom money that they took from the hostages.

“Roja” airs weeknights at 8:45 pm on Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook. The latest episodes of “Roja” are also available 72 hours ahead on Netflix and 48 hours ahead on iWant.
