GLI project to add 950 condo units to Cebu housing inventory
CEBU, Philippines — Responding to the sustained growth of Cebu’s real estate sector, Grand Land Inc. (GLI) has announced its latest investment in residential vertical village development, adding 950 condominium units to Cebu’s housing supply.
GLI Operations Director Benrick Ryan Go revealed the company’s newest project, the 33-story Auria Residences, located in Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City.
“We aim to create a harmonious blend of modern comfort and natural beauty, providing an unparalleled residential experience that reflects the vibrant spirit of Cebu City,” Go said in an interview.
Go described the development as a seamless fusion of condominium living and a dynamic retail experience, designed to redefine urban lifestyles in Cebu City. Spanning 1.5 hectares, the property will also house a shopping and leisure mall.
The introduction of Auria Residences is part of a series of expansion plans by the homegrown real estate firm, driven by confidence in the promising real estate industry—not only in Cebu City but across Visayas and Mindanao.
Auria Residences boasts a modern contemporary aesthetic, featuring wave-like dynamic paint patterns inspired by Cebu’s mountainous landscape.
The high-rise residential units are strategically elevated, offering panoramic views of Cebu City, the mountains, and the sea. Its three-wing layout maximizes multiple vantage points, ensuring that more residents enjoy unobstructed vistas of both natural and urban surroundings.
Enhancing the vibrancy of Nivel Hills, the development includes a lifestyle retail and shopping mall, curated with a selection of shops, dining options, and essential services.
This project leverages the Gaisano Grand Group’s retail expertise, making it one of Cebu’s few developments to offer direct mall access to its residents. The mall will feature essential retail stores, a supermarket, and a diverse selection of restaurants and cafés overlooking the city.
“Auria is unique because it seamlessly integrates residential and retail spaces, creating an elevated urban experience,” Go said.
He further explained that the name Auria is inspired by the word “breeze,” reflecting the refreshing ambiance that welcomes residents and visitors alike.
“We wanted to incorporate this feeling into the design—not just in the condominium but also in the mall. That’s why the mall’s design features soft curves, reminiscent of wind movement,” Go added.
Located just 10 minutes from Cebu IT Park, Auria Residences provides residents with panoramic views and premium condominium amenities, he reiterated.
The development will feature a Sky Pool and Sky Lounge, offering breathtaking views—comparable to the experience at Marina Bay Sands.
Other amenities include a fully equipped gym catering to health-conscious residents; Yoga and meditation areas for mindfulness and relaxation; a sophisticated lobby lounge for residents and guests to unwind; and Multi-purpose and meeting rooms ideal for special occasions and business gatherings
With a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, GLI is integrating renewable energy solutions, including solar power, into the mall’s operations.
The project also incorporates open spaces to foster a sense of community.
“We want Auria to be more than just a condominium. We envision it as a gathering space where people can relax and feel connected to their surroundings,” Go emphasized.
With its blend of modern design, sustainability, and retail integration, Auria Residences is set to redefine urban living in Cebu, he added.
GLI, the real estate arm of the Gaisano Grand Group, is not only active in residential projects but is also expanding into tourism-related developments within Cebu province.
The company is set to open Dusit D2 in Banilad, Cebu City, and Dusit Princess in the North Reclamation Area next year.
The Cebuano real estate development firm, GLI recently broke ground on Asai Dusit Cebu Oslob, expanding its footprint into the countryside.
GLI is also extended its presence in Davao City since 2016. It is planning to start its Bacolod operations by the fourth quarter of this year with its 15-hectare township development.
The group is also bullish on expanding its industrial real estate and logistics businesses, reinforcing its commitment to Cebu’s economic growth.
