‘Goin Bulilit’ retuns with new parodies, generates buzz online

CEBU, Philippines — Well-loved ABS-CBN kiddie gag show “Goin Bulilit” made a successful comeback, launching with new and side-splitting parodies ‘Baby Quiapo’ and ‘Magandarang Buhay.’ The debut episode captivated viewers and generated significant buzz online, garnering over 60,000 concurrent views.

The pilot episode brought a wave of nostalgia to viewers who praised the show’s fresh, funny sketches and the impressive comedic talents of the young cast.

In ‘Magandarang Buhay,’ momshies Jonila (Chastity), Redgie (Elisha), and Menai (Kulot) interviewed former “Goin Bulilit” stars Nash Aguas and Mika dela Cruz, offering a glimpse into their married life. ‘Baby Quiapo’ featured the charming Sanggol, played by Baby Giant, alongside Tiny Bubbles (Kelsey) and David Dimagibagiba (Argus), delivering plenty of laughs.

The show also brought back ‘GB Patrol’ and ‘Ano Daw.’ Viewers were also treated to a musical spoof of Angeline Quinto’s “Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas”, titled “Kulitin Mo Ang Pilipinas” and a comedic take on a Senate hearing with Alice Gulo and Lisa Contiveros.

“Goin’ Bulilit” returned with fresh faces led by “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” star Baby Giant and “It’s Showtime” kids Argus, Kulot, Imogen, Jaze, and Kelsey in its newest season which premiered Monday.

Baby Giant, who plays Oweng in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” shared how blessed he is to be part of this iconic show with the new generation of child stars. He also expressed his gratitude to Coco Martin, who allowed him to be part of the show.

“Sabi niya (Coco) na para sa akin ito. Super supportive po siya sa akin. Super thankful po ako mapasama sa ‘Goin Bulilit.’ Ito po ay isang big opportunity,” he said.

Joining them are other budding young artists Ahmad, Calvin, Christan, Clave, EJ, JC, Jeremiah, John, Jordan, Lucas, Ludwig, Miguel, Rhys, Scott, Stanley, Stephen, Tyrone, Wardell, Alessandra, Alondra, Alynna, Amarah, Ayesha, Chastity, Dani, Elisha, Elle, Erin, Fae, Graciela, Kylie, Kendall, Mais, Mary, Miho, Nashrifa, Scarlet, Sebreenika, Selena, Sheerina, Stephanie, Valerie, and Zoe.

“Goin’ Bulilit” director and creator Bobot Mortiz expressed his excitement about the anticipated comeback of the show.

“Nakakatuwa naman at maraming excited na mga bata kasi ang tagal din nawala ng ‘Goin’ Bulilit.’ Siguro hindi natuloy noon, kasi heto na talaga ‘yung tamang oras,” he said in an interview with “TV Patrol.”

“Goin Bulilit” airs Mondays tO Fridays, 5:45 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 4:30 pm on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, ALLTV, A2Z, and iWantTFC.
