Takes on challenge of hosting for the first time

CEBU, Philippines —  Singer-actor Elmo Magalona has been showing a different facet of himself to fans as a host of the interactive music variety show “PIE Night Long Sessions”, Sunday nights on the PIE Channel.

Sharing his excitement to host for the very first time, Elmo said during a virtual conference, “While I feel inexperienced, I wanna take on hosting because I want people to see another side of me.”

As a musician, hosting a music-oriented show is right up his alley and he expects the interactive elements of the program to enhance his skills.

“Ang ganda being part of the Pie Night Long Sessions because I can talk with other fellow creative minds when it comes to music,” he said. “Since PIE is an interactive channel, we get to immediately engage with viewers who react to the songs performed by our guests.”

Elmo is also pleased to be working with his friend Vivoree as co-host. “I’m happy that I get to work with Vivoree because we used to attend acting workshops together,” he shared. “My fans have been very supportive and they are welcoming of any partner who joins me. Since we both love music, we work very easily.”

“PIE Night Long Sessions” airs every Sunday, 8-10 pm on the PIE Channel. Viewers can catch it on free digital TV through their TV box, Channel 21 on Sky Cable or online at the channel’s website or on GLife through the GCash app.
