Philippine bet is Miss Globe 2016 3rd runner-up

CEBU, Philippines - After initially just declaring the top three winners of the Miss Globe 2016 pageant during the finals held Saturday in Tirana, Albania, the organization bestowed upon Philippine finalist Nichole Manalo the third runner-up distinction in a private ceremony.

Manalo, the younger sister of actress and former Miss Universe Philippines title-holder Bianca Manalo, was first announced as a Top 10 finisher with one award as Miss Dream Girl of the World or the prettiest among the candidates.

Photos of her private coronation as third runner-up were posted online – along with Miss South Africa who was also awarded in the post-pageant event as fourth runner-up – although no explanation has yet been given why her and South Africa’s placement was not announced during the pageant’s live finals.

Indian supermodel Dimple Patel inherited the Miss Globe crown this year from Ann Colis of the Philippines, who was Miss Globe 2015. Yenny Carrillo of Colombia, meanwhile was named first runner-up, with host delegate Kristina Skurra placing second runner-up. (FREEMAN)
