The cost of Jeremy Renner’s divorce
CEBU, Philippines - Jeremy Renner’s divorce from Sonni Pacheco is now final, one year after his ex-wife first filed – and the “Avengers” star is going to be paying a hefty sum in child support for their two-year-old daughter Ava Berlin.
According to court documents obtained by ET, the 44-year-old star will have to pay $13,000 per month in child support, which comes out to $156,000 per year.
Renner could also be looking at even higher payments if he has a particularly successful year. The documents stipulate that should the “Mission: Impossible” star make more than $2.3 million in a year, he is obligated to pay Pacheco five percent of his excess earnings.
However, Renner and Pacheco have agreed to share physical custody of their little girl. Additionally, Renner is not on the hook for any spousal support and will retain most of his property.
Renner and Pacheco welcomed their daughter in March 2013, and went on to tie the knot in January 2014. Ten months later, Pacheco filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The couple engaged in a contentious legal battle for some time before eventually coming to an agreement on the terms of their divorce and custody of Ava. (FREEMAN)
