‘On the Wings of Love’ descends on primetime

CEBU, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s newest drama series is set to bring romantic and feel-good vibes as one of 2015’s most romantic teleseryes. “On the Wings of Love” shares a story about dreams, love, and family, top billed by one of the Philippines’ most in-demand love teams, James Reid and Nadine Lustre, beginning tomorrow.

In their first drama series, Nadine will portray the character of Leah, a young woman who dreams of going to the United States to help her family. James, on the other hand, will play the role of Clark, a young man living in America who, after the death of his mother, vowed to give his siblings in the Philippines a good life.

To remain in the US, Leah strikes an agreement to marry Clark, who is an American immigrant, in exchange of money that he greatly needs.

How will Clark and Leah’s arrangement to pretend as a married couple change their entire lives? What will they do when they find themselves falling in love with each other? Will it fulfill or hinder their own dreams for their family?

Under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone and Jojo Saguin, “On the Wings of Love” also features Joel Torre, Cherry Pie Picache, Bianca Manalo, Albie Casiño, Nanette Inventor, Nico Antonio, Jason Francisco, Nhikzy Calma, Andrei Garcia, and Laiza Comia.  Also in the series are Isay Alvarez and Katya Santos for their special performances.

“On the Wings of Love” is the latest offering of ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment Television, the group that created top-rating drama series such as “Nathaniel” and “Inday Bote.” The series, which was partially shot in the Bay Area in San Francisco, was a joint production effort between Dreamscape Ent. and TFC (The Filipino Channel).

While in the U.S., Nadine was grateful to TFC for all the help its team has extended and the places they have been to. “We really enjoyed doing this teleserye. We went to a lot of places. I especially enjoyed the scene where we were in the top-down and we drove through the Golden Gate Bridge all the way to Napa Valley.” 

Cherry Pie, meantime, thanks Dreamscape and TFC for the opportunity to film abroad. The multi-awarded actress says: “‘On the Wings of Love’ is all about the story of Filipino migrants. You know how they sacrifice and do everything for their families. This soap celebrates just that. It’s a good mix of romance, comedy and drama with the right Pinoy values from start to end.”
