Up close and personal with Martin Nievera

CEBU, Philippines - Get up close and personal with the Concert King in a two-night concert in Cebu dubbed “Up Close & Personal with the Concert King Martin Nievera” in the Grand Convention Center of Cebu on February 5 and 6.

This two-night concert will bring you the best of Martin’s showmanship and humor, and tracks from his new album, “Big Mouth, Big Band.”

In “Big Mouth, Big Band,” Martin fulfills a dream he has had since he was a teenager: to be a band frontman. To craft this album, he teamed up with musical director Marvin Querido and some of his favorite musicians. This was the first time that Martin made an album with only one arranger and one band for all the tracks.

Interestingly, “big band” in the album title doesn’t mean a big band sound in the music. Rather, it refers to the big bands or the famous groups that Martin grew up listening to as covered by Martin, the “Big Mouth.”

“Big Mouth, Big Band” features his take on timeless classics such as Queen’s “Love of My Life” and Earth, Wind, and Fire’s “Every Now and Then.”

“Up Close & Personal with the Concert King Martin Nievera” will also feature “X-Factor Philippines” 2012 grand champion KZ Tandingan and Robin Rivera.
