Miss Cebu 2015 pre-pageant standouts

CEBU, Philippines – Candidate No. 12 Wynonah Joy Buot stood out Saturday night at the Miss Cebu 2015 pre-pageant held at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu. The 20-year-old UP Cebu Mass Communications graduate was awarded Best in Fun Wear and Miss Ayala Fiesta Island in an evening that was a preview of what the 12 candidates have transformed into after months of trainings and workshops.

Candidate No. 9 Rosalyn Clavano, a 23-year-old Nursing graduate, was also selected as Miss Gems and Designs.

The finalists wore Fun Wear creations made by Cebu’s top young designers. Candidates 1-3 Hanica Rachael Arshia Ong, Febb Flores and Mary Cyrielle Wong donned designs of Rei Escario. Candidates 4-6 Aivy Mae Castro, Katherine Jumapao and Rio Liza Vestil wore designs by Charmaine Chua, candidates 7-9 Lucena Rose Magdadaro, Catherine Mier and Rosalyn Clavano wore the creations of JP Cabigon and candidates 10-12 Ma. Genefe Navilon, Domenic Reynes, and Wynonah Van Joy Buot wore designs by Mique Yapching.

The ladies also showcased creative designs from Bree Esplanada, Roni Yu, Joyce Maw and Mary Ty in another segment, with maquillage by the Make Up Artists Club of Cebu (MUACC). Jonas Borces was named Best Makeup Artist, while Best Fun Wear Designer was Joyce Maw.

The Coronation Night of the 31st Miss Cebu will be held on January 14, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino and will be telecast live on Studio 23.
