Perkins Twins live in SM City Consolacion

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - SM City Consolacion is bringing the Fil-Am twins, Jesse and Christian Perkins tomorrow, October 12, 4 p.m. at the Event Centre.

The Fil-Am twins were born on October 14, 1993 in San Juan City. Jesse at 6’1” is an inch shorter and two minutes older than Christian. During the end of  their junior year of  high school,  they were approached by a Filipino community newspaper (Bradford Adkins) for an interview regarding their success in tennis.

Soon after, ABS-CBN reached out to the twins for a short television segment that featured their lives both on and off the courts. It was as this shooting that the singing talent of the twins was discovered as they performed a Tagalog song sample for the camera and also played guitar. After the segment aired, the twins were offered their first singing performance as front act for the Teleserye Royals show in the Bay Area.

After that performance they performed at various shows, most notably performing as the front act for the Three’s Company concert at the Masonic Center in San Francisco. Also during this time, the twins became involved with numerous modeling shows and teamed up with their modeling coach and renowned fashion icon Charleston Pierce.

The twins are now into singing. They are the voices behind the song “Ikaw Na” (composed by Vehnee Saturno, now in the market, with an album coming soon) that opened and closed Boy Abunda’s former “Ikaw Na” segment in the ABS-CBN late-night newscast “Bandila.”  And they are into tennis, too, at the helm of the Perkins Twins Tennis Academy (PTTA) of  EDSA  Shangri-La.
