CEBU, Philippines - The story of a depressed drunkard who hopes to become a famous musician and three adopted children who try to find their true identity, will start to unfold in the newest Kapamilya drama series, “Hawak Kamay” starting tomorrow night on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.

The series also marks acclaimed actor, Piolo Pascual’s much-anticipated comeback to television drama following the success of his movie “Starting Over Again” earlier this year. Piolo top-bills “Hawak Kamay” along with three of the country’s most talented child stars, Zaijian Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, and Andrea Brillantes. The series also introduces Promil Grand i-Shiner, Yesha Camile, who was under the mentorship of Piolo during her stint in the Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp.

“Hawak Kamay” also stars Piolo’s “Starting Over Again” co-star Iza Calzado, along with singer-actress Nikki Gil and comedian Ryan Bang. The show also features the TV comeback of Victor Neri, and former Pinoy Big Brother ALL-IN ex-housemate Axel Torres.

The series revolves around Gin (Pascual), a failed musician who becomes the guardian of three orphans who his dearly departed sister and brother-in-law have adopted: Emong (Jaranilla), Dara (Manabat), and Ningning (Camile). Tough lawyer Bianca (Calzado) and her sister Lorrie (Brillantes) witness how the reluctant and unprepared Gin ends up as a potential father figure to the three kids. As they encounter trials, Gin gains sight of the more important things in life, and together with the kids, realize what exactly makes a family, little by little.

Don’t miss the premiere of the much-awaited drama series, “Hawak Kamay,” starting this Monday, July 21. (PR)
