Itchyworms rocks Ayala Center Cebu

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Following a series of gigs nationwide, Itchyworms is back to rock Cebu. Jam to the catchy pop rock music of the band as they play their all-time favorite hits at The Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu on Tuesday, July 15 at 6 p.m.

Starting as an indie band in the mid-‘90s, Itchyworms is a quartet composed of Jazz Nicolas on drums and lead vocals, Jugs Jugueta on rhythm and co-lead vocals, Kelvin Yu on bass and Chino Singson on lead guitar, both of whom also serve as back-up vocals. With influences mainly coming from The Beatles and Eraserheads among many others, the band’s music amplifies listeners with upbeat rhythm and catchy lyrics.

Conquering the airwaves with notable songs such as “Akin Ka Na Lang,” “Antipara,” “Love Team,” and “Beer,” the band became even more popular with a great deal of commercials and television theme songs. More than that, recognitions from NU Rock Awards and MYX Music Awards have brought them to a pedestal in the music industry.

Now promoting their fifth album entitled “After All This Time,” surely there’s no stopping Itchyworms as they prove that they’re here to stay longer, and louder. Catch Itchyworms perform live for free in line with the celebration of Ayala Center Cebu’s three day Fashion Sale happening July 14 –16.
