Toni Gonzaga live at Ayala Center Cebu today

CEBU, Philippines - Catch multimedia star Toni Gonzaga as she launches her latest album today, 7 p.m., at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu. Fans who buy her album onsite from 4 p.m. onwards will get the chance to meet and greet the artist after the show, plus be given the exclusive opportunity to have their copies signed by Toni.

Following the success of her blockbuster movie “Starting Over Again,” Toni returns to the music scene with her sixth studio album under Star Records. Bearing the actress’ real name in its title, “Celestine” is a 10-track album featuring original songs, such as “Oh Boy,” “Finally,” “Di Ba Halata,” and her 2013 Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs entry “Kahit Na.” Also included is the rendition of “Starting Over Again,” where the title of her recent movie came from.

“Celestine” also features Toni’s compositions, like “This Love is Like,” and “Awit ni Ginny,” a song co-written by songwriter and album producer Jonathan Manalo. The track was inspired by the character she portrayed in “Starting Over Again” with Piolo Pascual.

In a statement during her press conference, Toni said the album means so much to her. “It is very personal to my heart. My real name, Celestine, means heavenly. I believe that this album is a gift from heaven. It took a while for us to finish it because of the schedule. Our target was October last year, but I was also doing a movie at that time, so we needed to wait. But God’s timing is always perfect. This is the best album I’ve done,” she said.
