Multi-tasking Jodi discovers a beauty ally

With the way things are going, 2014 is looking really promising for “Be Careful with My Heart” star Jodi Sta. Maria as she signs another endorsement deal, this time with the country’s preferred clinic for face, body, and medical aesthetics, Flawless.

“I am so happy to be the newest member ofthe Flawless family,” Jodi says. “Of course, I have been hearing about Flawless for years now and I can see their clinics in the malls and their ads, but it was only late last year when I actually started going to their clinic.”

The award-winning actress adds that more than anything else, she thanks the brand for taking care of her skin and helping her maintain a fresh appearance despite her demanding schedule.

“Siyempe sa trabaho natin, madalas puyatan talaga tapos madalas nakatapat ka pa sa maraming ilaw o naarawan ka,” says Jodi. “Eh di lang naman yun ang ginagawa ko. Aside from my work, I take care of  Thirdy and I am studying and running my own business so really, my schedule can sometimes get the best of me. In other words, malakas maka-haggard.”

Flawless selected Jodi to be the face of its newest campaign, “Alagang Flawless.” For the famed beauty brand, Jodi is the epitome of everything that the campaign stands for.

“Even among her colleagues, Jodi is known to be a very caring individual and I guess that’s the reason why her portrayal of Maya works so well,” said Ruby Sy, Flawless’ CEO. “Similarly, we want people to know that Flawless is a brand that cares. We keep saying this time and again that all of our efforts—big or small—are geared towards helping people realize the most beautiful expression of themselves.”

Tomorrow will be an Iza Calzado day on ABS-CBN. She will be appearing in several programs of the Kapamilya network, including a special episode of MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) which will feature her weight problem. Then there is also the primer of “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles.”

She is very credible to be the reality program’s host because she went through the same problem that the contenders are going through themselves.

“It’s my first time hosting a major TV show. I’m happy because I learned a lot from it. As much as I can, I will make sure that I will do it right and I will give my very best for this project,” said Iza. When the actress learned that there will be another season of “The Biggest Loser,” Iza told herself that she’s got to be in the show.

To prepare herself, Iza underwent a workshop to enhance her hosting skills. “Of course, I need to work as a host so I can help the whole team showcase the contestants’ struggles as well as their experiences and weight-loss journey inside the camp.”

Fourteen pairs of overweight Filipinos embark on a journey that will change their lives beginning Monday (Feb. 3) with the much-anticipated premiere of the country’s biggest reality show, “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles.”

Iza will be joined by challenge masters Matteo Guidicelli and Robi Domingo, along with fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret who will train and help the contestants reclaim their health.

After scouring the country for pairs with heartwarming stories, “Biggest Loser Doubles” will introduce in its premiere the 14 pairs of contestants Filipinos can draw inspiration from.

In the first week of “Biggest Loser Doubles,” the 14 pairs will go through pre-camp, the first part of the competition where they will be asked to lose weight on their own, using only the things that are readily available in their homes and environment, for 30 days.

The 14 pairs will then meet and weigh themselves on the “Timbangan ng Bayan,” which will determine which of the pairs lost the highest percentage of their total weight and enter the “Biggest Loser Doubles” camp.

Inside the camp, each pair is expected to do everything it takes to stay in the competition and encourage each other to lose weight — a twist that will also test their relationship as relatives, work colleagues, or friends and will show that in having a partner, the journey to a better life will be lighter.

Watch them change not only their bodies, but also their lives as they compete with each other in a bid to win P1 million, appliance showcase, P100,000 worth of sports merchandise from Toby’s, lifetime gym membership at Gold’s Gym, a kitchen showcase, among others.
