30 years of celebrating Cebuana Beauty

CEBU, Philippines - A highlight at the recent Miss Cebu pageant was the parade of past winners, runners-up and finalists  from the 80s when it was still called Miss Cebu Tourism, then Miss Sinulog for one year (1988), until it just became known as Miss Cebu from 2002 until the present. While the first-ever Miss Cebu, Janice Bañez-Minor who was crowned in 1984, did not make an appearance in this year’s special Pearl anniversary, as well as other beauties we haven’t seen around for quite some time, the audience was still treated to a beautiful feast as each Miss Cebu alumna was introduced one after the other.

Miss Cebu has earned a reputation of producing top calibre and beautiful achievers, and this year was no different. (FREEMAN)
