Derek and Cristalle insist they’re just pals

SHOWBIZ DRIBBLE - Salve V. Asis - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - It must be a record of sorts in local showbiz.

Cristine Reyes and Derek Ramsay have split after only a month of being sweethearts.

But it seems that Derek is quick to bounce back from the break-up. The buzz is that he’s seeing Cristalle Henares, the daughter of celeb beauty doctor Vicki Belo. Cristalle denies that something serious is brewing between her and the actor with the washboard-abs.

“Right now, Derek and I are super friends. Nothing more than that, definitely. We are very close and we have a lot of fun together,” Cristalle insists.

She says there’s nothing wrong if people talk about her and Derek because he’s presently unattached. “But of course, when he’s in a relationship, that’s when I’ll mind because we have to respect the relationship he has.”

The two plan to visit Bohol soon to help the earthquake victims.

Speaking of Cristine, her kissing and love scenes with Gabby Concepcion in the forthcoming “When The Love is Gone” movie are steaming hot. Based on the still photos of the scenes, you’d think that Cristine and Gabby have a thing going on in real life. The two went torrid in almost ten love scenes. Almost 1.5 million viewed the film’s trailer on YouTube.

Directed by Andoy Ranay, “When The Love Is Gone” hits theaters on Nov. 27.The film is inspired by the classic “Nang Magalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi” of Director Danny Zialcita that starred Dindo Fernando, Laurice Guillen, Janice de Belen, Eddie Garcia and Gloria Diaz.

Joining Cristine and Gabby are Alice Dixson, Andi Eigenmann and Jake Cuenca.

Cristine, who plays Gabby’s mistress, says she is overwhelmed with having worked with veterans Gabby and Alice. She says she trusts Director Andoy’s handling of the love scenes. “I trust him, I know he won’t go beyond what cannot be shown. I didn’t set any limitations. I did what they wanted me to do. I gave it my all.”

Cristine says that while “When The Love Is Gone” has a more modern approach, it manages to capture the essence of “Nang Magalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi.”

Judy Ann Santos is happy that her new show “Bet On Your Baby” is doing well, ratings wise. “I’m so thankful to all the viewers and fans,” says Juday. “They helped me overcome my nervousness. I didn’t know how they would react because I haven’t hosted a game show before.”

She turns to husband Ryan Agoncillo, an accomplished TV host, for tips. “He tells me to stay relaxed, which I just can’t seem to do.”

Juday says she’ll make a film or a new teleserye next year. “The year is almost over anyway. As for movies, I have meetings hopefully with Star Cinema. There’s a lot of exciting projects but nothing solid yet because there are so many things to consider. Right now I have time to take things easy.”

If you think you’ve seen the last of Annabelle Rama in politics, you may be in for a surprise. I was told that Tita Annabelle will be running for election again in Cebu, and this time she plans to live there to give her more time to prepare. We’ll know more on Thursday, when she makes an important announcement at a press conference.

By now you’ve must have heard about or seen the video of Kanye West’s over-the-top proposal to fiancée Kim Kardashian. No? Well, the rapper rented out San Francisco’s AT&T Park and presented the reality star with a 15-karat diamond while going down on one knee, asking her hand in marriage.

But it seems that Kim isn’t too happy that the footage of the proposal has gone viral online. She’s suing YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley for posting the video on MixBit.
