Josh Hutcherson shares dating mantra

CEBU, Philippines - Josh Hutcherson set tongues wagging with his open-minded interview for Out magazine’s November cover story, revealing that while he considers himself “100 percent straight” right now, he is open to having a relationship with a man someday. “I could meet a guy and be like, ‘Whoa, I’m attracted to this person,’” were his exact words.

However, since that’s not currently the case, the 21-year-old shares some of his dating mantras in the latest issue of Seventeen magazine.

When it comes to how he chooses mates, like former girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, the actor admits he has occasionally been attracted to ladies for some of the wrong reasons.

“I was blind at first by looks, by love, whatever. I’ve been known to fall hard and quick for girls, which I think is better than not falling at all,” he says.

And once he’s fallen, there’s a specific part of the relationship Hutcherson says he excels at.

“I’m good at fighting,” he reveals. “Not that I like to fight, but when there’s a disagreement, I’m good at finding a solution, or knowing when to just let it go and make up.”

But when it’s time to call it quits, he definitely likes to be in control. “I think getting broken up with is worse than breaking up with someone. For me, it hurts more when you’re ready for something to keep going and the other person isn’t.” (FREEMAN)
