Cosplay contest, cultural performances at Halad
CEBU, Philippines - JRG Halad museum, the only music museum in the region, will hold a cosplay contest today. This is one of the activities in line with the Gabii sa Kabilin 2013.
Cosplay contestants only need to show up at the Halad to register. Cosplay enthusiasts need to be a GSK participant, meaning they have the GSK ticket worth 150 pesos. They can buy the GSK tickets at the same time when they visit Halad. Registration is at 6pm.
Aside from the museum tour, Halad museum will be presenting cultural performances at 7pm, 8:30pm and 10pm featuring the internationally award-winning UV Chorale and the University of Visayas Filipiniana Dance troupe.
The UV Filipiniana Dance Group will showcase traditional dances from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and will use the indigenous instruments found in Halad's collection.
There will be two exhibits as well, PISTAYM photo exhibit: A collection of rare American-era photos of old Cebu, and an art exhibit on music by Cebuano artists.–DDD
