Saturday nights get more exciting with TV5

CEBU, Philippines - The month of March starts on a high note as TV5 promises a Saturday showcase to remember. This coming Saturday (March 2), stay at home with the family as the Kapatid Network brings out the laughs, gasps and cheers with Pinoy Explorer, Hayop sa Galing and Kanta Pilipinas.

At 7:00PM, join Aga Muhlach as he embarks on another exciting adventure on Pinoy Explorer. Along with The Amazing Race Philippines’ Team Bombshells Dani and Mish, our daring host takes on one of the highest mountains in the country—Mt. Pulag.

In the first part of this two-episode special, Aga and the gang will learn how to make easy-to-cook camp meals from his son Chef Luigi Muhlach. The Pinoy Explorer expedition team will also explore Timbac Cave, the sacred burial grounds of the Ibalois. What surprises await the group as they attempt to conquer one of the highest mountains in the country?

Legendary comedian and host Joey de Leon will be joined by Shalala and Arnell Ignacio in this week’s episode of Hayop sa Galing at 8:00PM. What seems like a test of willpower for the two guests will turn into a shriek fest as they deal with a giant Arapaima!

The featured videos on Hayop sa Galing this week include one of a young man whose mouth was pierced by a thousand-pound black marlin and another of a fierce dog that refuses to be rescued. Viewers can also learn a thing or two about how bees behave even around their long-time keeper as well as that on the behavior of grizzly bears during hibernation season. Joey also gets to share his artistic side with a hilarious comic strip that he himself put together.

Last and certainly not the least, Kanta Pilipinas fans will be in for a treat as TV5’s first singing reality competition presents the second batch of final auditionees vying for a spot on the Top 12 come 9:00PM.

Also, stay glued to the screens as last week’s auditionees Chadleen, Daniel and JB, Pia, Esther, Raz, Jacob, Allison, Ferns, Greg, Jeniffer, Ricky and Rochelle await what could be a life-changing nod from the Kanta Pilipinas judges.
