Rocco Nacino The nurse who rose to stardom

CEBU, Philippines - Before he became an actor, a dancer, and one of the most sought after leading men of GMA-7, he was first a Registered Nurse who rose to fame when he won Second Prince in the fifth season of Starstruck. He is Enrico Raphael Quiogue Nacino, or more popularly known as ‘Rocco Nacino.’

After Starstruck, he clinched leading roles in several teleseryes like ‘Gumapang ka sa Lusak,’ ‘Koreana,’ ‘Time of my Life,’ ‘The Good Daughter,’ and at the moment, the dramarama afternoon soap, ‘Yesterday's Bride.’ He also starred in several indie films like ‘Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa’ where he won a number of acting awards.

Rocco’s acting skills also landed him lead roles in documentaries. He portrayed Dr. Jose Rizal in ‘Pluma’ and the life of the second Filipino Saint, Pedro Calungsod. And set to air on March is ‘Bayan Ko’, GMA News TV’s first original series wherein he assumes the role of a young, idealistic Mayor.
