CEBU, Philippines - Join Drew Arellano’s post Valentine celebration today as GMA News TV’s newest travel show, Biyahe ni Drew, goes on an unforgettable culinary escapade in the so-called City of Love – Iloilo!
Aside from the colorful Dinagyang Festival and a number of historical landmarks, Iloilo is also well-known for its scrumptious Ilonggo cuisines.
In this episode, Biyahe ni Drew searches for the most delectable Ilonggo dishes! The team discovers a food bazaar where Drew, the ultimate biyahero, gets to taste merienda staples like pancit and siomai and almost everything inihaw!
Next stop is the La Paz Public Market where one can find the most delicious, ultimate Ilonggo comfort food – the batchoy, which only costs 45 pesos per bowl! Also inside the La Paz Public Market is the Madge Café, which is a favorite hangout place for many Ilonggos.
