Celebrity best friends LJ, CJ win first season of The Amazing Race Philippines

CEBU, Philippines - Celebrity best friends LJ Moreno and CJ Jaravata became the first pair to win The Amazing Race Philippines, winning the P2 million grand prize during last Saturday’s finale of the country’s biggest and most expensive reality show this year.

At the finish line of TARP’s final leg in Davao, host Derek Ramsay and the show’s eliminated teams welcomed the last remaining all-female duo at the Finish Line: “LJ and CJ, you did an amazing leg today. You both did two roadblocks. You almost died 12 times. Nalagpasan n’yo ang 13 cities. You raced hard and you raced the fastest. You are the first winners of The Amazing Race Philippines,” he said.

Fausto and Dayal (team magbayaw) and Marc and Kat (team gym buddies) finished second and third, respectively.

When asked about their plans with the grand prize, LJ said that she would buy a kitchen for her pastry shop and probably treat her friends to a trip to Boracay. Meanwhile, CJ will save some of the money for her daughter’s education, but will also spend some for much-deserved rest and relaxation.
