Bluewater presents 'Walk Among Stars' with Kim Chiu

CEBU, Philippines - Bluewater Resorts — a unique collection of Filipino-owned resorts in Maribago, Sumilon and Panglao — usher in the season of ‘Pasko sa Bluewater 2012’ with a resort-wide parol lighting festival and Christmas benefit dinner event entitled, “Walk Among Stars”.

Meet & Greet Kim Chiu

Special guest Kim Chiu – actress, celebrity endorser, and role model to the Filipino youth – lights up the “Walk Among Stars” launching events in Bluewater Maribago on November 24, and Bluewater Panglao on November 25, to begin the resorts’ holiday festivities for 2012.

From being the first grand winner of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition in 2006 to becoming one of today’s brightest young stars in the country, Kim Chiu continues to shine even more with her generous spirit. For some years now, Kim Chiu has been known to host annual charity events especially for underprivileged children during her birthdays. With her, let’s be inspired and celebrate the spirit of hope as we light up the most enduring symbol of Christmas in the Philippines.

Parol Lighting Festival

Bluewater Maribago, in collaboration with the University of the Philippines and the University of San Carlos, has launched a lantern-making contest among Cebu’s Fine Arts students. Selected parols or lanterns, made of recycled and indigenous materials, will be featured around the resort from November 24 to December 31, with special recognition to the top three winners.  These creative Pinoy Parols will be lighted simultaneously during the resort’s “Walk Among Stars” on November 24.
