Aiza Seguerra on having a love team in 'Please Be Careful with My Heart'

The Nora Aunor mania continues as the award-winning actress is back in town after her triumph at the recently concluded Venice International Film Festival. The local press can’t have enough of Nora who won the Bisato D’Oro award in Venice which was given by a group of critics.

TV 5, which is handling Nora’s career, says the Superstar will be added to the cast of “Enchanted Garden.” They are also preparing a drama anthology for her. A movie is also in the works but it depends if there would be a good script to begin with. The triumph in Venice via “Thy Womb” is a tough act to follow so Nora’s next project ought to be at par, if not better than “Thy Womb.”

Of course, Nora is playing opposite Laguna Governor Jeorge ER Ejercito in the filmfest entry “El Presidente” but it is more ER’s movie, not Nora’s. The actress still has some scenes to shoot for the film being directed by Mark Meilly.

Fresh from her triumph in Venice, Nora Aunor appears in TV5’s Untold Stories, 8:30 pm, after Artista Academy, co-starring Yul Servo in the episode titled Sr. Thelma Layug Story. On Sunday she stars opposite Lorna Tolentino in an episode of TV5’s Third Eye, airing at 9:30 pm, after Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

At the thanksgiving presscon of “Please Be Careful with My Heart,” Aiza Seguerra was asked about her desire to have a child of her own. She was also asked if she believes that being with a man (or having a relationship with a man) makes a woman complete. Here’s Aiza’s answer:

“If you are a lesbian you can still be a woman. Puwede ka naman magpakababae kahit na hindi ka mukhang babae. At puwede kang maging babae at i-celebrate mo ang pagiging babae kahit na nagmamahal ka ng kapwa mo babae. Being a woman doesn’t necessarily mean na you love a guy. Being a woman is about respecting yourself and empowering yourself,” said the accomplished singer and concert artist.

How does it feel having a love team in “Please Be Careful with My Heart” where she is paired with Tom Rodriguez?

“Actually, ang swerte po ni Tom (Rodriguez) kasi nakakatuwa na okay pala magkaroon ng ka-love team sa mga panahon na alam mo na ang totoo mong sekswalidad. Kasi nung time ni Spencer (Reyes), medyo ano pa ako. Kasi si Tom naman ay maayos kasama. Makulit. Halos pareho kami ng trip sa buhay. Nagdya-jive naman kami.”
