Shaina: 'I Deserve A Better Man'

- The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s ‘Kapamilya Gold’ Queen, Shaina Magdayao is overwhelmed with the continuing success of the country’s no.1 afternoon drama, “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo.”

Shaina believes that a big factor of their show’s huge following is its realistic theme that TV viewers find highly relatable, especially women who have experienced the pain of betrayal and infidelity.

“As women, we all love, and we’re willing to give everything for the people we love. We sacrifice, we trust, and we forgive,” explained Shaina. “But like Sarah, when enough is enough, we stand up and value ourselves.”

Just like the loyal televiewers of “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo,” Shaina’s role in the series, Sarah, is close to her heart. And when asked if she finds herself in a situation like Sarah’s and she has to choose between Rino (Ron Morales) who loves her so much but took advantage of her illness and her husband Paul (Jake Cuenca) who, on the other hand, had an affair with his ex-girlfriend while he was abroad, Shaina simply replied, “None of them. Both Rino and Paul hurt Sarah too much in different ways and levels. And even in real life, I’m very sure that there is a right and more deserving man for me aside from the likes of Paul and Rino.”

Now that Sarah and Paul have crossed paths once again, will they find true love once again in each other’s arms? Or will Rino and Mia (Bangs Garcia) still find ways to break the two’s marriage?

Don’t miss the country’s no.1 afternoon program, “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo,” after “Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto” in ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.
