CEBU, Philippines - Love painted a different and unconventional romantic story between a teacher and her student as ABS-CBN recently premiered Precious Hearts Romances (PHR)’ newest offering, “Pintada.”
This much-awaited and top-rating drama is topbilled by Denise Laurel, who last heated up viewers’ afternoons in “PHR presents Midnight Phantom,” and fast-rising hunk-actor Martin Del Rosario, who is all set to take on bold and daring roles on television.
“Precious Hearts Romances presents Pintada” also marks the comeback of box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina in directing teleseryes.
Follow the story of Lysa (Denise) as she embarks on a journey to find the courage to paint over her scars and face life again.
After escaping a scandal that smeared her reputation, Lysa is ready to start anew as she moves back to her hometown to work as a teacher in a community high school. Her irresistible beauty makes her the object of everybody’s attention, desired by men and envied by women.
Among those smitten by her is the naughty and hard-headed high school student Sev (Martin). Despite their deep emotional connection, Lysa opts to abide by her ethical principles as a teacher and refuses Sev’s advances.
Sev has yet to prove his love to Lysa, but then a fire will break out in the school that will change her life forever. While trying to rescue her students, a part of her lovely face gets burned. A man rumored to have had an affair with her also dies in the tragedy.
Besieged by hatred from the townsfolk and ashamed of her badly damaged face, Lysa suffers the aftermath of the tragic incident.
For many years, Lysa hides under a veil and refuses to mingle with people until a young man from her past, Sev, tracks her down.
What awaits Lysa and Sev? Will Lysa finally give Sev a chance now that their student-teacher bond doesn’t exist anymore? When everything she knew leaves her indelible scars, will Lysa still find a way to face life again? How can Sev help her cope with the pain brought to her by her past?
