Jessica Soho: Reader's Digest's most trusted news presenter 2 years in a row

- The Philippine Star

GMA News pillar Jessica Soho was named Reader’s Digest's Most Trusted News Presenter for the second year in a row, in a prestigious ceremony last Thursday.

Soho is the Kapuso Network’s Vice President for News Programs and is widely regarded as the most awarded broadcast journalist in the country. Her list of awards includes the highly prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, which is considered the Oscars of broadcast journalism.

Earning for her the esteemed recognition as Most Trusted News Presenter for the second year in a row is GMA News TV’s flagship program, State of the Nation with Jessica Soho, airing at 9 pm weeknights.

Aside from SONA, Soho is also the host of the top-rating Saturday primetime magazine program Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on GMA-7 and the modern spin-off to the highly popular news magazine show in the ‘90s – Brigada ni Jessica Soho on GMA News TV.

“This serves as reminder of the great responsibility entrusted to us in media. The trust given to us by the people should equal to our credibility. I also want to thank the people I work with because every award given to each and everyone of us is a testament to the kind of news organization we are,” says Soho.

Now on its 14th year in the Asia Pacific region, the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand serves as a barometer in identifying consumer preferences and brand appeal of products in various categories. The annual survey coverage in Asia covers the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and India.
