A1 band members laud Mövenpick on Bandila, Twitter
CEBU, Philippines - International pop group A1 consisting of Ben Adams, Chris Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read and A1 manager Christian Dyresen stayed at the Mövenpick Resort and Spa Cebu for nearly a week as the group did volunteer work for Young Life Foundation.
Ben said of Cebu in a live telecast with Boy Abunda of ABS-CBN’s Bandila: "Amazing place, and I think we’ve all sort of found our happy place there… We stayed at the Mövenpick hotel." Adams thanked Mike Acebedo Lopez, Director of Communications at the Mövenpick Resort and Spa Cebu, for their stay. Adams’ interview was the top Twitter trending topic in the Philippines that evening. It was also among the top Twitter trending topics worldwide.
On their Twitter accounts, the band members also commended the fine dinner prepared by Executive Chef Terry Styles at Seas—one of Mövenpick Cebu’s dining outlets—and posted pictures of the different courses. The five-course menu began with an amuse bouche of a freshly shucked oyster with ponzu sauce served in an ice balloon. This was followed by wild mushroom and truffle soup, seared scallops with rocket risotto and parma ham, and broiled bass and Wagyu beef with bok choy, sugar snaps and roasted squash. Chocolate fudge cake, cookies and cream, and berries with kirsch were served for dessert.
Seas is located at the Mövenpick Resort and Spa Cebu in Punta Engaño, Mactan Island, Cebu. For inquiries and reservations, please call (032) 492 7777 or visit www.moevenpick-cebu.com.
