James, Kris happy to be single again

SHOWBIZ DRIBBLE - Salve V. Asis -

Now that they’re not husband and wife anymore, James Yap and Kris Aquino are finding out if they could be good friends.

The two seem to be enjoying their return to singlehood.

Interviewed on ABS-CBN News, James said Kris called him up saying, "Congrats, We’re single again." He congratulated her back. "Are you happy now?," he asked. "Of course," Kris replied.

But doesn’t the annulment of their six-year marriage make Baby James "illegitimate"? James said the issue did crop up, but it does not present a major problem. He said he’s willing to adopt Bimby to set things straight.

A Tweet posted by Dr. Vicki Belo last week triggered a wave of speculation that all is not well between the famous beauty specialist and her beau, Hayden Kho Jr.

"Nancy Castiglione you can now openly date @haydenjr. You have my blessings. Hope you'll both be happy," the Tweet went. Nancy Castiglione is a budding singer and actress. So why is the good doctor "giving away" Hayden? Does that mean that their engagement is off?

Hayden was quick to Tweet a reply: "Before things go out of hand: Vicki and I are just having a misunderstanding. Don't make conclusions. There's no infidelity issue here."

But in a follow-up Tweet, Hayden himself adds to the mystery: "I feel that the public doesn't have to get involved in this but since names have to be cleared and this issue involves the welfare of two innocent toddlers, I will have to speak out my piece, but at the right time. Thank you."

In succeeding posts, he made it clear that "Vicki and I are not fighting because of Nancy. I have already apologized to Nancy for getting her name dragged into this minor bump in my relationship w/ Vicki."

I wonder what that "minor bump" is that prompted Vicki to expose her emotions on Twitter.

But Hayden is not telling and instead turns cheesy: "Let's all have a happy Valentine's Day on the 14th."

Hmm. Unless there has been a drastic change of dates in the calendar, I do believe that Valentine’s is always celebrated on the 14th.

Are we looking at a new Sarah Geronimo?

Lately, Sarah seems to be more daring in the way she dresses on stage, wearing costumes that reveal more skin.

She is even being compared to Beyonce, who scintillates with sexiness.

In her official website sarahgeronimo.com, the 23-year-old Pop Princess admits she wants to be "daring" but doesn’t want to expose too much skin. She’s also trying out different fashion styles, but sticks to clothes that are comfortable for her.

"I’ll always be the girl who doesn’t wear lipstick when I don’t have to," Sarah said in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. She described herself as a "modern day Filipina." She’s in that point in her life where she is balancing as conservative girl and a liberated woman.

She said she’s taking small steps towards being independent, although she still lets her mom handle all her earnings. But she added that "soon I hope to fix it so that I would also be hands-on with my savings."

Sarah is in the thick of rehearsals for her Sunday evening show, Sarah G. Live, which airs on ABS-CBN starting February 26. She will also be shooting the sequels to her box-office hits with John Lloyd Cruz, A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life.
