Golden Screen TV Awards tonight
CEBU, Philippines - The Entertainment Press Society honors the outstanding programs and personalities tonight, November 29, at the Teatrino Greenhills as it stages the Golden Screen TV Awards 2011.
Hosted by Miss Universe 4th runner up Venus Raj, hot TV hunk Mikael Daez and award-winning actor-TV host John Lapus, the 2011 Golden Screen TV Awards gives out awards in 52 categories.
Also joining the awards night as a segment host is comedienne Candy Pangilinan.
Also being feted with the Helen Vela Lifetime Achievement Awards are former Vice President Noli de Castro (news broadcast), ABS-CBN President Ms. Charo Santos-Concio and Maalaala Mo Kaya and the durable triumvirate of Sen. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon as the iconic hosts of the long-running noontime “Eat Bulaga” as awardees in the field of comedy.
Performing in the opening number are Ryza Cenon, Sef Cayadona, Rocco Nacino and Enzo Pineda, the stars of the top-rating GMA 7 series “Time of My Life.”
Doing a dance number is ASAP Rocks mainstay Gab Valenciano.
Also performing are Morisette Amon, Krissha Viaje, and Claire Cruz, from the TV5 teen noontime show “Hey It’s Saberday.” They will sing “Best Thing I Never Had.”
Expect fireworks and laughter when the tandem of Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola take the center stage to dish out a wacky number.
The Golden Screen Awards gathers the outstanding shows and talents in the industry and is expected to be a star-studded affair.
The event is sponsored by Laguna Governor Jeorge "ER" Ejercito, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Senator Tito Sotto and Denz Trading and Marketing. It is a project of the Entertainment Press Society.
