"The Gathering" all hip hop Cebu album launch

- Denise Kathryn V. Rosaroso -

CEBU, Philippines - Whoever said hip hop is dead might want  to double check that statement. Well, at least in Cebu it's not.

It was just keeping it low for a little while but now it's getting ready to be out in the open and be heard once again.

6000 Goonz entertainment presents "The Gathering" - an event that would bring together all Cebuano hip hop artists in one place and share their music to everyone.

This event will be on the last Saturday of the month, November 26, 2011 at the Rainforest Park Cebu in Panagdait, Mabolo at 7pm. There are 19 hip hop artists that will perform: Mutley, Knive Everdope And BigRam, IceBergg, Disciples of Ubec, Phat Scrapp, Young Fil, Harou, GnB, Letrang Tunok, Cebuanos Estelos, Dirty South Underground, Mackata, Ubec’z Insane, T-Mack, Souljah’s Rhyme, Whut it do, Bronzlugaw, Bronzputlo and Zebwano poets. And with special performance by Cebu Elite Beatboxers United and spins by DJ Murda.

Owner and CEO of 6000 Goonz Entertainment, Dice of Dice & k9 Mobbstarr, said that he heard the music by new artists from Cebu and was impressed with them. Thus they created an album that compiled their music under 6000 Goonz Entertainment set to be launched on January of 2012. The compilation album together with music videos are also ready to be released nationwide next year.

"THE GATHERING" aims to bring life back into the hip hop scene in Cebu and introduce it to those who knew little about it. Everyone is invited to hear and see what hip hop in Cebu is all about.

The event is open to public with only P50 entrance fee.
