Arnold Schwarzenegger gets bloody forehead on set of new action movie

-

CEBU, Philippines - He said hasta la vista to action movies when he became Governor of California, but now Arnold Schwarzenegger is back... and he has the battle wounds to prove it.

Things got a little too rough on the set of The Last Stand yesterday and the actor tweeted about the incident.

‘Got a little banged up on set today,’ he wrote. ‘Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!’

Despite the gash down the 64-year-old’s forehead, he managed a smile for the camera.

The close-up portrait is reminiscent of bloody image from his 2003 film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

It’s unknown exactly how Arnold gashed his head.

In his latest role, the former Mr. Universe portrays Ray Owens, a small-town sheriff who is on pursuit of stopping a drug kingpin to escape across the border to Mexico.

The film is currently shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Arnold stars alongside Forest Whiteaker, Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville and Rodrigo Santoro.

After stepping down as the Governor of California at the beginning of the year, the actor wanted to make his acting comeback, but his love-child-divorce drama splashed all over the media in May put things on hold.

He has finalized his divorce to Maria where they split their $400 million 50/50 since there was no prenuptial agreement.

And the former Governor’s career is back on track: Arnold’s also filming The Expendables 2 - and is set to star in Black Sands.
