Glee Stars, US Celebs Condole With Charice

CEBU, Philippines - Celebrity stars in US like Lea Michele, Jenna Ushkowitz, and JoJo extended their condolences to Charice, whose father Ricky Pempengco was stabbed to death in Laguna on Monday night.

Via Twitter, "Glee" star Lea Michele said she is praying for Charice and the singer's family.

"My thoughts and prayers go out today to my girl @OfficialCharice and her family for their terrible loss.. Thinking of you Charice..," Michele tweeted.

In the popular US musical TV series Glee, Charice played the character of Sunshine Corazon, a rival of Michele's character Rachel Berry.

"Saddened to hear about @officialCharice 's loss. Sending all my love to you and your family. xo," Ushkowitz, who's also part of Glee, tweeted.

Other US stars also tweeted their prayers and love for Charice.

Some stars like singer-actress Jojo also expressed disbelief over what happened to Charice's father.

"My heart breaks 4mega-talented singer Charice. Just read about her father's murder in Phillipines. Horrifying. She's heavy in my thoughts," Jojo tweeted.

The death of Charice's father was also covered by major US news organizations such as the Associated Press.
