Sharon has no issue with Kris Aquino's bigger talent fee + "Bubble Gang" celebrates 16th anniversary
Megastar Sharon Cuneta is amazed because there are some people who are trying to make an issue between her and Kris Aquino and she doesn't like it.
She is wondering why there is an issue that the alleged reason why she's supposedly leaving ABS-CBN is because of talent fees. The megastar reportedly felt bad that Kris Aquino is receiving a much bigger talent fee compared to her.
According to Sharon, it was never an issue for her that Kris has a bigger talent fee. It follows that since Kris is doing a daily show as compared to Sharon who is doing a once a week show, naturally Kris would be paid more. For the longest time, Sharon was only doing a show once a week, except for The Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition which was on a daily basis.
Besides, there's no truth to the rumor that she is leaving ABS-CBN. Sharon had denied that and says there's no reason for her to leave the Kapamilya network. Sharon values loyalty and word of honor. Even if she didn't have a contract with Viva Films before, she continued doing projects for them because it was where she started and made her the megastar that she is now.
She has returned to Viva and is being managed by Boss Vic (del Rosario). She is doing a Valentine concert next with Martin Nievera to be produced by Viva concerts.
Sharon is now in LA with KC to attend Bill Clinton’s birthday bash. For sure, the two would probably talk about the alleged breakup between KC and Piolo. What we have to wait for is if they would share with the public what they talked about regarding the state of KC's lovelife.

October is the anniversary month of the top-rating GMA gag show "Bubble Gang" and the production is coming up with a special episode to mark the occasion.
"Bubble Gang" is celebrating its 16th year on TV and it’s a feat considering the life span of other gag shows which did not last long and are no longer on air. "Bubble Gang"can pride itself in toppling the opposition. We do not need to name the shows that were pitted against it but did not survive. And if they do (like Banana Split on the Kapamilya channel and Locomoco on the Kapatid network), these shows are not as an entertaining as Bubble Gang. They have yet to match the level of intensity of Bubble Gang in terms of entertainment value.
We asked Direk Uro dela Cruz what he thinks makes the show click and survive 15 years on TV.
"We can put it this way, kumbaga sa alak, habang tumatagal, lalo itong sumasarap. Kumbaga sa alak, ang rapport nina Ogie Alcasid at Michael V sa Bubble Gang ay distilled na, mas lalo nang humusay. Nag-iba-iba man ang kanilang mga kasama sa show pero yung formula ng Bubble Gang ay nakukuha mo rin ang katas," said direk Uro.
"Isa pa, nai-set namin nina Bitoy (Michael V) at ng creative group na sa taong ito (as we celebrate our 16th year) mayroon na kaming na-break na record. Sa isipan namin, we now hold the distinction as the longest running gag show sa Pilipinas. Hindi ko na ime-mention kung ano ang mga na-break namin na record pero alam ninyo naman sa history ng TV kung anu-anong mga shows iyon."
According to Direk Uro, the magic of Bubble Gang lies in the idea that doing a comedy show is a serious matter.
"Ang comedy ay kailangan harapin mo nang seryoso at ibinigay mo ang iyong kakayanan at ang iyong talent. Noong una kasi, hindi naman sa minamata ko ang ibang shows na nauna, ang pagtingin nila sa comedy wala lang, parang isang show lang na puwede nilang gawin kahit na sila ay nakapikit kasi katatawanan lang iyan. Pero kami dito sa Bubble Gang, nagkasundo kami na ang pag-atake namin sa comedy ay seryoso," he added..

Our former alaga Donna Cruz is making a brief showbiz comeback via GMA 7's new family drama "Daldalita" which stars child sensation Jillian Ward in the title role.
Donna is playing the role of Carmela, the mother of Jillian and wife of Mateo (played by Ogie Alcasid). "Daldalita" begins with the married couple Mateo and Carmela living a simple life in the province. Their happy marriage hits a rough patch when Carmela dies after giving birth to their daughter Lolita. Adding to Mateo's misfortune is the unusual condition of their child whom he thinks is mute. Nonetheless, Mateo devotes his unconditional love and attention to Lolita.
If we are not mistaken, this is the first time that Donna is doing a role in a TV drama since she got married and settled down in Cebu with her husband, Dr. Yong Larrazabal. She would only do occasional TV guest stints; the last was an appearance in Party Pilipinas.
Donna flew from Cebu straight to Daldalita's location in Taal, Batangas, where she stayed overnight. The next day she flew back to Cebu after finishing all her scenes. Too bad she was absent at the presscon of "Daldalita" held on Wednesday at the Studio 6 of GMA. It would have been a nice occasion for Donna to mingle and reconnect with the members of the media.
Directed by Don Michael Perez, "Daldalita" brings the special human-animal connection to primetime TV that the Filipino viewers, most especially the young ones, will surely enjoy watching. It starts airing on October 17, Monday right before 24 Oras on GMA Telebabad.
