Sharon Cuneta and Martin Nievera are doing their first Valentine concert ever next year. Titled Once In A Lifetime, the concert will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on February 11 and produced by Viva Concerts.
It’s going to be one mammoth concert that should not be missed, so this early start saving your money to buy tickets for the concert that promises to be spectacular.
As to the rumor that Sharon’s new manager is Viva’s top honcho Boss Vic (del Rosario), Viva executive Ms. Baby Gil said that Sharon and Boss Vic did talk about doing this concert, with Sharon giving Boss Vic the freehand in handling it. There were no talks as to whether Boss Vic would be her manager. And no talks either about doing a movie with Gabby Concepcion (whose manager is also Boss Vic).
Ms. Gil said that for starters, the concert of Sharon and Martin is just the initial project of Sharon and Boss Vic after a long time. It’s like Sharon going back to her home (it was Viva who built her up and made her a megastar). But who knows? Anything is possible.

After waiting at the wings for almost six years, Starstruck 2 Ultimate Male Survivor Mike Tan is finally getting the break he deserves. He is the male lead in the new Dramarama sa Hapon offering of GMA 7 titled Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit, where he is paired with Carla Abellana and Michelle Madrigal.
The network is even planning to change his screen name from Mike (his nickname) to Michael (his real name) although he prefers to be called by his real name. No matter the change in name (if that happens), Mike says he still would work with the same enthusiasm and seriousness.
"I still don’t want to rush things but rather accept the blessings coming my way. I’d do my job, prepare for it and I promise to give everything and do it well," says the Kapuso star at the presscon of the new afternoon drama series. "I am very thankful to Direk Jay (Altarejos, who is directing Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit) because he’s there to guide me in my acting. If he feels I did not give my best, he doesn’t mind to do another take so he could bring out what he wants in me."
Will he be more daring this time? Well, Mike said he be joining some of the Kapuso stars at the Cosmo Bachelor Bash fashion show next week. But in this new drama series, he will be going a lot of bed scenes and kissing scenes. "I am also quite nervous in doing my love scene and kissing scene with Michelle because it’s also the first time that I will do something like that," he confessed. "Trabaho lang naman ito saka marami na rin naman akong pinagdaanan so I guess I am ready to do something daring. Whatever it is that I would be asked to do, I believe I am ready for it."
He is aware that the lead role in this new afternoon series was originally meant for Paolo Avelino, also a Starstruck alumnus, who has joined the Kapamilya network. "Okay lang for me. It’s fine kasi trabaho ito but I told myself, let’s see if the project will materialize. But when the GMA bosses told me that the role was for me for the taking, doon ko na-realize na totoo na pala talaga ito," explained Mike. "I am now the leading man and the next morning, while doing my prayers, I just felt the tears flowing from my eyes. Siguro dahil sa lahat nang paghihintay ko and now the big break has come."
Mike admitted he did receive offers to cross over to another station but he opted to be loyal to GMA 7 because it was the Kapuso network which gave him the break after he won in Starstruck. "I guess I made the right choice. It pays to be loyal and I consider myself a good soldier. Whatever it is that is offered to me, I accept it and vow to give my best. It just happened that Paolo decided to go to be a Kapamilya and the role that was meant for him was given to me. I am happy that I was given the role," he said.
Did it cross your mind that had not Paolo decided to transfer to ABS-CBN, you probably wouldn’t have gotten the role? "Naisip ko lang po because you told me so," Mike told the press people. "Well, we can say that is true but the GMA bosses told me that, it’s not because Paolo left that’s why they gave me the role that was meant for him. Hindi raw sa ganoon. Siguro talagang it was meant to be for me."
