UP close & personal: Janica Burasca

CEBU, Philippines - Beauty Queen. That’s the simplest way to describe Janica Burasca, one of the lucky female finalists in Mr. & Ms. Olive-C Campus Model 2011. Beauty pageants are not something new to Janica.

In fact, she has bagged several crowns from different pageants of wit and glamour. Like other beauty queens, her first exposure in this kind of competition was also the ones held in schools.

This 18-year-old hopeful is a BS Nursing student in Cebu Institute of Technology-University. Janica is grateful that she is one of the beautiful Cebuanas who will be chosen to represent Cebu City in the national finals slated on January 2012 in Manila.

The grand male and female winners will be the next endorsers of Olive-C, where stardom begins with pimple-free and blemish-free complexion.

Janica won 2nd runner-up in Ms. Cesafi 2008 and Ms. CIT Lakambini. She also joined Ms. Nursing 2009 and Ms. CIT Intramurals which was also held on the same year. She was announced grand winner in Ms Preimax Model when she bested other equally gorgeous ladies. Aside from beauty pageants, Janica also loves to join modeling competitions.

To become a supermodel and beauty queen are Janica’s greatest dreams in life. She is not the shy type of person. She has a lot of confidence to face the crowd. She believes that she will someday reach her dreams and aspirations with strong faith and determination.
