DJ Miss nine's 2nd year in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - DJ Miss Nine or Kristin Schrot has been a major presence on the dance scene for quite some years now. With her eclectic taste in music ranging from energetic grooves with plenty of vocals to a deeper, progressive sound, DJ Miss Nine turns heads and moves feet wherever she performs.

Born in Germany, her worldwide contract with Elite Model Management prompted her to move to Amsterdam where she discovered the art of spinning music that eventually led her to become a disc jockey. She started off as a resident DJ at the legendary Motion parties in 2003 until she was asked by Grammy Award winning DJ duo, Deep Dish in 2005 to join Bullitt Bookings, the reputable agency of A-list DJs. This allowed Miss Nine to enter the forefront of the international DJ scene for the first time.

Fast forward five years later, Miss Nine was already managing 925 Digital, her own record label that brought progressive house, and the artists behind it, to prominence. Perfoming all around the Globe and spinning at clubs like Privilege in Ibiza, Avalon in Los Angeles, Warung in Brazil, the Ministry of Sound in London, the female DJ who has also graced the main stage of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, was the first female DJ to mix a compilation for Washington-based Yoshitoshi Recordings, the world-renowned leader in progressive and big-room house music.

The highly anticipated Yoshitoshi Ibiza: Mixed by Miss Nine (YRCDLP15) in 2006 made it to the number 1 spot on iTunes in the United States before the world famous release of Armada label: Dancefloor Sessions (ARMA134) in 2008. Fantasia, her latest release was in 2010 is now available in Asia.
