After working together in an episode of “Dear Friend” and in the movie “Mano Po 6” (for which they both won acting awards), Dennis Trillo and Heart Evangelista are paired anew in “Dwarfina,” the new telefantasya series of GMA 7 which premiered last Monday, Jan. 10.
“This is a dream come true for me,” said Dennis on working with Heart again. “Yes, we did several projects in the past but these were brief only. We only did one episode in ‘Dear Friend’ and we played supporting roles in the movie. I am happy that GMA has gotten us together and I am excited with this project which happens to be the opening salvo of GMA for the year 2011. It feels good and I am flattered with the trust that GMA gave to us to be the lead stars of ‘Dwarfina’.”
While he is playing a mortal (and not a dwarf like Heart), Dennis said that the role is a challenge because oftentimes he’s acting with nobody in front of him. He has to imagine that Heart is right in front of him. He said with a laugh, “It’s harder to act in a scene when you don’t have anyone to interact with. “
Since both of them are in love (him with Jennylyn Mercado and Heart with Daniel Matsunaga), Dennis said working with Heart is a breeze. “Oo naman kasi 'yung saya namin ngayon, 'yung positive energy at 'yung kasiyahan na naidudulot noon nadadala namin sa trabaho. Inspired pa rin kami sa trabaho,” said the actor.

Eugene Domingo feels lucky to have been chosen as one of the leading ladies of Richard Gutierrez in his Valentine’s movie that is produced by GMA Films and Regal Entertainment.
“It feels as if nanalo ako sa lotto because of the chance given me to be paired with one of the most sought-after leading man in the Kapuso network,” said Eugene. “I am flattered because one seldom gets the chance to be paired with a top matinee idol like Richard.”
“I also promised myself that I won’t let go of the chance to have a kissing scene with Richard. I’ve got to have a kissing scene with Richard,” she added.
Aside from the Valentine film with Chard, Uge is doing an indie film that is an entry to the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival to be held in July. The last Cinemalaya entry she did was “100,” for which she won a best supporting actress award.
At the recently concluded 36th Metro Manila Film Festival, Eugene won as best supporting actress for “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na ‘To)”. In the forthcoming award giving bodies, she would surely be a best actress contender for the comedy film “Here Comes the Bride,” which was directed by her best friend Chris Martinez.
