Regine all agog over her wedding

SHOWBIZ DRIBBLE - Salve V. Asis -

As her wedding day approaches, Regine Velasquez is getting so excited she can’t sleep at nights. “I’m really excited and a bit anxious,” said Asia ’s Songbird. The big date is December 22, and it’s an invitation-only affair in Punta Fuego. The wedding will not be held in a church because Ogie Alcasid is still wrapping up annulment proceedings with his ex, Michelle Van Eimeren. But it’s not a big issue for Regine. She and Michelle have become close friends. In fact, instead of a honeymoon, Regine and Ogie plan to get together with Michelle after the wedding.

Regine and Ogie have been living together as a couple for the past three years, and Regine says they have adjusted quite well to each other.

“Since we’re not married yet, there's an invisible line that you don’t want to cross So it was a good decision (living in) I think, although I know for a fact that it's not for everybody,” she explained.

Her sister, Cacai, is in charge of the wedding preparations. “Actually I’m not very much involved in the wedding. I mean I'm involved but I don't want to be too involved because I want to enjoy it. I don't want to be stressed out, I want to be pretty, hopefully I'll be pretty that day."

The red gown that Monique Lhuillier is designing for her in the US is “on the way.”

Regine said there’s no rush to motherhood. “If I get pregnant, it’s fine. If I don’t, that’s fine too.”

She has just launched her latest album, “Fantasy,” her second under Universal Records.

Fantasy has 12 original compositions, including the carrier single "You Don't Know," written by, you guessed it, Ogie.

If Manny Pacquiao wants to run for president, Robin Padilla gives him this advice: Quit boxing.

“My wish is, if he wants to strive for such a lofty position, he should stop boxing. We don’t to see our president smashing faces in the ring,” remarked the action star in an interview on abs-cbnNEWS.com.

He also brushed aside suggestions that he enlist as the Pacman’s running mate. “I will join Manny not as a politician but as a supporter,” he said.

This early, rapper Eminem is proving he is a force to reckon with in the race for Grammys.

Last week Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” was nominated for the Grammy for record of the year. It was his third nomination so far, after the hit was nominated for song of the year and his “Recovery” for album of the year.

“Love the Way You Lie” will be up against Cee Lo's “(Expletive) You” and Lady Antebellum's “Need You Now,” Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' “Empire State of Mind” and “Nothin' On You” by rapper B.o.B.

Awards night for the Grammys will be on February 13 at Staples Center in Los Angeles .
