“Because of child birth no matter how hard I work out, I still have a bit of loose skin around my tummy. Moms know what I’m talking about :),” Ruffa tweeted. She said it was cosmetic surgeon to the stars Vicki Belo who convinced her to get “BELOTITE - an RF (radioactive frequency) treatment that works to tighten loose, flabby skin.” “1st time I’m ever doing something invasive so I’m nervous! Waaahhhh! :/.”
It was also the good doctor who revealed that John Lloyd Cruz had called Ruffa at least thrice while she and the actress were in the Middle East. She said they were having breakfast in Dubai when Ruffa’s phone rang. “I saw his (Lloydie’s) name but I didn’t tell Ruffa. When we arrived in Lebanon, he called up again. The following morning, it was him again.”
Dr. Belo said she decided to tell all because she wanted to correct the misimpression that Ruffa was running after John Lloyd, who is being linked to Shaina Magdayao.
Ruffa herself pooh-poohs the big fuss over the phone calls. “He may call me 10 times a day, once a month or once a year but it’s not a problem because we have remained good friends,” she said.
So what do they talk about on the phone? “I’ll just keep quiet, being a girl,” was Ruffa’s answer.

The latest object of Annabelle Rama’s ire is the mom of Heart Evangelista. Last week Annabelle launched a tirade at Heart’s mother, calling her an ingrate for pressing her daughter to leave Annabelle’s fold.
“When I got her (Heart), she had been floundering at ABS-CBN for three years. She had no projects, she had no career,” said Annabelle. “I helped her. But what did I get in return? When her mom saw the seven figures in her daughter’s contract, she called me up, asked me if it was alright if she handled her daughter because she herself needed a job. She’s an ingrate.”
Heart has a three-year contract as Annabelle’s talent, but her mother wants to cut the contract short.
Annabelle was her usual feisty self at a presscon where she announced plans for her coming birthday show. In attendance were her other talents JC de Vera, Ehra and Michelle Madrigal, Jon Hall, Danita Paner, Bubbles and Paolo Paraiso.
Part of her birthday bash will be a fashion and variety show in one titled Spotlight at the Crowne Plaza Hotel this Thursday.
Heart was supposed to be in the show, but guess what, she’s not anymore.

Topel Lee has a gift for spooking people. The young director made the viewers’ hair stand on end with “Ouija” and choice segments in the “Shake, Rattle and Roll” franchise. Now he has conjured another scare- ‘em-up flick, “White House.”
As the title suggests, the movie is about a TV reality horror show that became too real for comfort. Several contestants are asked to stay for one night in a haunted house in Baguio. The last one to outlast the spooky goings-on inside the house wins one million pesos. Gabby Concepcion, who has a gift for seeing and communicating with spirits, pleads with the TV producer to cancel the show because he has encountered some really mean ghosts in the house.
Of course the producer, who is more concerned with ratings than evil spirits, turns him down.
And then the mayhem begins.
Among the contestants/victims are Lovi Poe, Joem Bascon, MoTwister, Maricar Reyes, Sarah Lahbati, Jarius Aquino, Richard Quan, Angel Jacob and Janus del Prado. Iza Calzado is their tormentor, the Black Lady.
Care to be scared? Watch “White House.”
