The Multifaceted Man: Ogie Alcasid

-

CEBU, Philippines - He sings soulful songs, writes timeless music, cracks wit-filled jokes and hosts variety of shows all together.

He is the newly-elected president of the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM).

He is Ogie Alcasid.

For the past two decades, Ogie Alcasid has provided us with the right kind of entertainment both on radio and T.V.

His playful antics and different character impersonation with fellow comedian Michael V. on their afternoon game show are definitely bankable among avid viewers.

But beyond his hosting and comedic skills, being a hitmaker is what makes Ogie stand-out among all other entertainers.

Sold-out concerts in or out of the country, a number of platinum and gold record awards, and a total of twenty albums are just some of this musical-genius’ achievements.

The Multi-awarded singer-songwriter is a proof that one can be good in many ways than one; of course, with the right kind of skills and attitude.

And in his tradition to provide good music to Filipino listeners, Ogie Alcasid releases a brand new album entitled, "Ngayon at Kailanman : A Tribute to George Canseco" with the carrier single "Yakap”, which is produced by Platinum producer Ito Rapadas, and released by Universal Records.

To have a taste of Ogie’s new single and other certified hit music, catch him perform live at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu on September 25, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Call the Privileges Desk at 232-0380 for more details on how to get an entry pass. (THE FREEMAN)
