CEBU, Philippines - It’s going to be a scorching hot Saturday in Cebu as the red-hot host and castaways of “Survivor Philippines” Celebrity Showdown invade the Event Center of SM City Cebu on Saturday afternoon, 4pm, for an exciting Kapuso Mall Show.

 Kapuso star and environmental advocate Richard Gutierrez, the new host of “Survivor Philippines”, and celebrity castaways – model Jon Hall, Ang "Siga ng Isla"; feisty Sexbomb dancer Aira Bermudez, "Dancing Warrior"; sexy actress and hot mama Aubrey Miles, "Ang Pasimuno"; actress Michelle Madrigal, "The Outcast"; actor Ahron Villena, "Ang Bolero"; and model/ socialite/artist Solenn Heussaff, "Ang Diwata ng Isla" – will be on hand to celebrate with thousands of loyal Kapusong Cebuanos as “Survivor Philippines” gets off to an explosive start.

 The much-awaited pilot episode of “Survivor Philippines” Celebrity Showdown got Twitter buzzing as it landed second place among worldwide trending topics on the popular social networking site, surpassing even the Emmy Awards which just aired that night! “Survivor Philippines” Celebrity Showdown was also a huge hit on Facebook, with fans posting their comments on the program’s fanpage update. 

 “Survivor Philippines” Celebrity Showdown is set at the heart of the Andaman Sea in Thailand, and features an intriguing and exciting mix of celebrity castaways who brave harsh living conditions, nature's deadliest predators, and face their fears in their bid to win the P3 million prize – tax free! – and the bragging rights of being “Survivor Philippines” first celebrity Sole Survivor.
