Cebuana makes it to PLDT myDSL's Watchpad crew

CEBU, Philippines - PLDT myDSL, the country’s first and only triple-play service along with entertainment portal Watchpad, is proud to launch yet another first—the PLDT myDSL Watchpad Crew, this generation’s broadband icons.  

The Watchpad Crew Final Five have been chosen from the 10 finalists and were unveiled last June 4, 2010 at the M Café in Greenbelt 4. After a three-month search, online voting and a deliberation by distinguished panelists, the chosen five to emerge as the newest faces of myDSL are Carole Monique de Leon, Jackie Milner, Nikko Ramos, George Schulze and Yassi Pressman.

Ibarra with PLDT MyDSL Head Gary Dujali, awarded each of them with P100,000, a Sony Vaio laptop with 1 year free myDSL, PLDT weROAM, Mossimo Apparel, a trip to Boracay Via Seair with accommodations courtesy of Escondido Beach Resort, complimentary dinner at the Boracay Crab House, and a free course at School of Fashion and the Arts (SOFA). Other proud sponsors of the PLDT myDSL Search for the Watchpad Crew include Cebu’s Coffee Dream, RCTV and Vudu.

The Watchpad Crew finalists survived weeks of exhilarating tasks and action-packed activities prior to the final selection, including a massive campaign that started with the announcement of the 10 finalists during a media party at Encore Fly on April 28. They also got to watch Kelly Clarkson live and meet her backstage, participated in a fashion workshop conducted by SoFA (School of Fashion and the Arts) and Mossimo, hosted the Shakey’s V-League with live appearances thrice a week and guested on Magic 89.9’s Good times with Mo, Wave 89.1 and Jam 88.3. They guested on TV5 shows Paparazzi, Juicy, and PO5 and were given a motorcade in Quezon City.

As ambassadors of PLDT myDSL Watchpad, more thrilling opportunities await the crew. These include upcoming myDSL events and campus tours, TV appearances on Eat Bulaga and TV 5, a radio tour on magic 89.9, being featured on videos and a guest appearance at the Meg Anniversary party in Amber Ultralounge. The newest icons are also the new faces of broadband technology and are set to appear in advertising and merchandising materials of PLDT myDSL.
