Child wonder Xyriel Manabat is "Momay"

CEBU, Philippines - Great things may come in small packages. Xyriel Manabat proves this as the adorable child star topbills the next primetime series on ABS-CBN, “Momay,” starting May 24.

Xyriel has become a household name ever since she showcased her acting skills in the top rating series “Agua Bendita”. Many were amazed with how this young lass effortlessly portrayed the opposing personalities of the twins. 

Xyriel’s potential was first noticed when she auditioned in the Star Circle Quest Kiddie Idol last year where she placed third. And now that her time to shine is here, Xyriel continuously improves her God-given talent.

“Si Xyriel po two years old pa lang eh nakitaan ko na ng potential. Kasi madalas ginagaya niya yung mga commercials sa T.V. at saka pati ‘yung mga pag arte ginagaya n’ya rin po,” revealed by Diane Manabat, Xyriel’s mother.

The child star first took on minor yet vital roles on television. She portrayed the young Rubi on the hit teleserye “Rubi.” She gave life to the young Marcela in the well-loved series “I Love Betty La Fea.” She also appeared in a “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode and in “Dahil May Isang Ikaw.” Now, she is part of Your Song presents Gimik 2010 as Gracy, the daughter of Melanie (Mylene Dizon) and Brian (Bojo Molina).

“Momay” circles on the story of a little kid who encountered an accident which caused her death. But with a pinch of mystery, her friendly spirit stays on earth as she helps her family by entering the bodies of different people.
