Richard Gutierrez's environmental docu competes in New York TV & Film Festival

CEBU, Philippines - RICHARD Gutierrez has momentarily stopped shooting “In Your Eyes,” a film co-starring him with Anne Curtis and Claudine Barretto, as he prepares to represent GMA-7 in the forthcoming New York Festival.

This is because the climate change documentary entitled “Planet Philippines” which he did for the network made as a finalist from among entries all over the world in the prestigious TV and film awards-giving body.

 “There are 30 countries in the competition with over 100 entries,” Richard said. “There were 10 finalists in the category wherein Planet Philippines got included. The inclusion is a big honor for me.”

His first environmental docu “Signos” already won an international award. It is also expected that “Planet Philippines” will take home similar honors.
