PLDT myDSL goes 'Overdrive,' 'Live and Loud'

CEBU, Philippines - PLDT myDSL conquered the Cebu streets once again with Overdrive 2010, which marked the arrival of a newly-decked out Speedster bus that’s now roaming the main thoroughfares of Talisay, Mabolo, Mandaue and Mactan. During its grand launch at Formo in Banilad Town Center, the newest WatchPad crew was also introduced—Starstruck V’s Rocco Nacino and Diva Montelaba.

 The Speedster bus is a one-stop activation hub where you can apply for a PLDT landline and myDSL connection, at the same time hang out with the PLDT myDSL crew, surf the net, and experience what WatchPad is all about.

 This year, PLDT myDSL lets you get more out of the internet with the new triple play service: unlimited broadband, landline and WatchPad, which is a triple play service that goes beyond broadband.

 Over the weekend, the myDSL crew visited PC shops in SM City Cebu for the raid upgrade. They checked out PC Live, Accent Micro, PC Express, Silicon Valley, Ngenius and Thinking Tools to get connected in as fast as 24 hours.

Live And Loud With Rctv

 Last March 28 also marked the date of the groundbreaking partnership of PLDT myDSL with local cable channel RCTV in a free event dubbed as “Live and Loud” at the Parkmall Grounds. The event was also streamed live exclusively via WatchPad http://www.pldtWatchpad.com for all WatchPad subscribers around the country.

 “Live and Loud,” a concert cum band competition, was a celebration of Cebu talent, local culture, technological convergence and the new age of cable and internet television.

 With these unprecedented union forces, WatchPad now brings the Cebu flavor to the rest of the Philippines with the addition of RCTV to its growing list of channels.

 RCTV, which airs locally on Channel 36 on Sky cable and now nationwide through WatchPad, is Cebu’s only infotainment channel that features Cebu lifestyle, culture, music, people and places.

 WatchPad subscribers from all over the country can now experience Cebu’s multi-faceted charm by accessing RCTV’s shows for free on their myDSL-powered PCs.

Search For Pldt Mydsl Watchpad Crew

 The Search for the PLDT myDSL Watchpad Crew is still on.

 If you are 16-20 years old, currently enrolled for the school year 2010, passionate about making a difference, articulate in English and Filipino, net savvy and share a passion for music, fashion, fitness, film and technology, then you have a chance to be the broadband generation’s next icon.

 Embark on this exhilarating journey by accomplishing three exciting steps from today until April 15, 2010.
