ANIMAHENASYON 2010

CEBU, Philippines - With the growing demand for locally produced original content, the Animation Council of the Philippines actively encourages and promotes the development of such by local animation studios through various content creation workshops, as well as the acceptance of entries for the annual Philippine Animation Festival.

Entries for the “Animahenasyon 2010: 4th Philippine Animation Festival” are now accepted.

It was learned from the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. that they are calling all budding and professional animators from across the country to participate and submit their animated works.

The annual Animahenasyon festival serves as a venue for Filipino animators to present world-class ideas and open doors of opportunities to meet with and be inspired by the finest names in the industry.

In addition, the festival aims to create greater awareness of the Philippine animation industry and its contributions to the global entertainment business, while tapping locally produced content for promotion in animation markets here and abroad.

Animation is a lucrative career for Filipinos. Because of this, ACPI works hard in promoting the country as a global destination for animation outsourcing. By building more efficient and effective collaborative business practices in the Philippine 2D and 3D animation industry, ACPI hopes to help elevate the country’s economy and culture.

Further, its training offerings range from advanced trainors training to grassroots introductory workshops for children.

Entry forms may be downloaded from the ACPI Web site (www.animationcouncil.org). Deadline for submission of entries is on September 15.
