He may have not have emerged as Starstruck Ultimate Male Survivor after being adjudged as 1st Prince, but Enzo Pineda is happy of what he has achieved. Losing to Steven Silva may have hurt the feelings of his supporters but Enzo is not at all disappointed that he fell short of his goal to be the top winner in the reality-based artista search of GMA 7.
“Para sa akin, siyempre po gusto ko manalo pero I believe everything happens for a reason. Kahit ako nagustuhan ko ang performance ni Steven (Silva who was named Ultimate Male Survivor). Kahit na anong mangyari, masaya pa rin ako. Sabi nga ng Daddy ko, it’s my first time to achieve something sa buhay ko and alam ko na proud ang parents ko sa akin. Proud lahat ng tao and I am always gonna be here kasi pangarap ko talaga ang mag-perform,” said Enzo, the son of Eric Pineda—the business manager of boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao—in a backstage interview after the announcement of winners last Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
“Like I’ve said before, hindi naman matatapos ang journey ko after StarStruck. To keep me going, hindi naman kailangan maisip ko ang short term goals ko. Kumbaga, I have to look at things in a larger way. Maraming opportunities para sa aming lahat,” he added.
Enzo said he and the rest of the Starstruck Final V had a very hectic schedule before the finals night that they had to sleep at the GMA studios the night before. He said he only had one day to rehearse his dance number but even then, he is glad that he was able to do it well.
“All of our efforts paid off. Now we are on our way to pursue our dream of becoming the stars that we would like to be,” said Enzo.
